Style File Renamer is a software program for renaming Yamaha Keyboard Style Files.

Introduction

This program will change the extension of a single style file or all style files in a folder (optionally including any subfolders) according to user settings.

The program can be used in these situations:
• downloaded style files are often saved with a .mid extension
• smaller/older keyboard will only accept .sty extension

Program Operation

• Select Renaming Mode in the User Interface
• Select menu File | Open Folder

The program will rename all STYLE files in a folder (and if user confirms when asked: including all subfolders) according to the following:

If the upper Renaming Mode is selected:
Files with ".mid" extension are renamed to files with ".sty" extension.
Files with extension ".sty.mid"; ".sst.mid"; ".pcs.mid"; ".pst.mid"; ".bcs.mid"; ".prs.mid"; or ".fps.mid" are renamed to files with extension ".sty"; ".sst"; ".pcs"; ".pst"; ".bcs"; ".prs" and ".fps" respectively.

If the lower Renaming Mode is selected:
Files with extension extension ".sst"; ".pcs"; ".pst"; ".bcs"; ".prs"; or "fps" are renamed to files with extension ".sty".

If BOTH Renaming Modes are selected, both will be run, which means:
Files with extension ".mid"; ".sst"; ".pcs"; ".pst"; ".bcs"; ".prs"; fps; ".sty.mid"; ".sst.mid"; ".pcs.mid"; ".pst.mid"; ".bcs.mid"; ".prs.mid" or ".fps.mid" are renamed to files with extension ".sty".

Confirm Rename for each File
Each file rename operation will have to be accepted, if this is checked.

Save Log
After a rename operation a list of renamed style files can be saved by clicking this menu.
