The 740 includes DSP effects and Reverb/Chorus settings for all the 267 panel voices. The 480 XG voices, however, all have the same DSP Setting (DelayCR2/wet-dry=24) defaulted OFF, the Reverb=22 and Chorus =0. When you use a XG voice, this usually means turning on the DSP via the left side buttons, adjusting its Effect Type and wet/dry value via the Multi-effects panel control, and altering the Octave/Reverb/Chorus settings via the Function/Parameter Edit panel control. For me, this often means looking at the settings used for similar panel voices and using them as a starting place for the XG voices. As an aid, I made up a table of representative settings; these are reproduced below. |
